Jay Z brought along some (very) famous and influential friends for this week’s re-launch of Tidal, his high-fidelity music streaming service. The rapper’s strategy to reach the most prospective subscribers began with a mysterious viral campaign, which saw artists with a combined 156 Twitter million followers change their avatars blue and declare #TIDALforALL in similar tweets.
Several big social gets for Jay Z in his rollout campaign include Alicia Keys (21.46 million Twitter followers), Coldplay (14.4 million), Nicki Minaj (19.1 million) andRihanna (43 million), respectively. Jay’s wife Beyonce, who has 14 million followers but has not tweeted since August 2013, also blued-out her avatar, as didKanye West (11.8 million) and Usher (10.2 million). Most included the message “History will be made in 5 hours” and a 30-second promo for a live stream event.
Like clockwork, each artist also let their followers know when the event went live.

Zayn Malik has quit One Direction, the band have confirmed in a statement.
Malik said: “My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band.
“I’d like to apologise to the fans if I’ve let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right.”
One Direction will continue their world tour as a four piece and record a fifth album later this year.
Last week, Malik walked away from the band’s world tour last week after being signed off with stress.
He returned to the UK shortly after being forced to defend his relationship with his fiancee, Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards.
A photo had earlier emerged of him holding another woman around the waist.
A second photo, taken from behind, showed Malik standing close to the woman. Their hands and arms looked as though they were linked.
In a statement, the rest of the group said: “We’re really sad to see Zayn go, but we totally respect his decision and send him all our love for the future.
“The past five years have been beyond amazing – we’ve gone through so much together, so we will always be friends.
“The four of us will now continue. We’re looking forward to recording the new album and seeing all the fans on the next stage of the world tour.”
Simon Cowell, who discovered the boyband on talent show The X Factor, said: “I would like to say thank you to Zayn for everything he has done for One Direction.
“Since I first met Zayn in 2010, I have grown very, very fond – and immensely proud – of him. I have seen him grow in confidence and I am truly sorry to see him leave.
“As for One Direction, fans can rest assured that Niall, Liam, Harry and Louis are hugely excited about the future of the band.”
Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson signed with Simon Cowell’s record label Syco Records in 2010 after finishing third on The X Factor.
Taylor Swift wants to make sure you never, ever, EVER get the chance to buy a porn site with her name attached.
The 1989 singer and best friend to all is reportedly buying up domain names ahead of June 1, when The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers will open up domains ending in .porn, .adult, .sucks, among many others.
We can see why Taylor wouldn’t want her brand associated with a bunch of gross stuff, she almost never even shows her belly button in public, so a dirty domain is out of the question.
As far as we are concerned, Taylor Swift’s presence on the Internet should be mostly restricted to the following categories:
And her cats.
So Selena has that new EDM song with ZED, but apparently Justin Bieber will see your Zed, and raise you a Diplo and a Skrillex. That’s right just that has just released a remix to his song, “where are you now” with 2 of the biggest names in electronic music…
And I have to admit, its kind of a good jam!
now we know Selena is going very electronic on her new record, and it kind of looks like Justin is going to do the same thing. I’m not complaining, because I love both of these songs!
Check out Selena and Justin’s songs below, and let us know what you think about them in the comments! Who’s do you like more? Justin’s or Selenas?
Lets talk about our favorite moments with Taylor Swift opening the show with blank space. Her body suit was killer and she sounded amazing!
She also won her first ever Brit Award and looked really excited as per usual.
But the best part with her big thank you to her british bestie, Ed Sheeran, who beat Sam Smith, to win album of the year.
So big cheers to both of them!
And check out Taylors awkward dancing…
Were so glad Kim came but it was way more interesting to watch her leave! Haha.
